Museum Kimchikan

Museums

Overview

On April 21, 2015, a museum offering an experience of kimchi and kimchi-making through all the senses opened in Insa-dong, one of the most culturally-rich areas of Seoul.

 All About Kimchi

The museum features a refrigerated exhibition featuring kimchi as well as other salted vegetables from around the world, and a tasting room where visitors can taste and evaluate kimchi.  Visitors can also learn about different regional varieties of kimchi, or kimchi prepared in royal palaces during the Joseon era and more through watching an outstanding documentary.

 Hands-on Programs

A wide variety of hands-on programs are offered for different audiences, including for foreigners and children.  Learn how to make kimchi from Korea's best instructors and take some home with you!
